It applies to all California residents (“Consumers”) who interact with the Art Unlock Platform.

Under California law, Consumers have the right to opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information.

Important Notice

Art Unlock Inc. does not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information for monetary or advertising purposes.

However, in the interest of transparency and compliance, we provide Consumers with the ability to submit an opt-out request.

2. What “Selling” or “Sharing” Means Under the CCPA

The term “sell” under CCPA does not only mean exchanging data for money. It also includes:

  • Transferring personal data to third parties
  • Making personal data available for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Sharing identifiers with ad networks or data brokers
  • Any consumer data exchange for “valuable consideration”

Clarification for Art Unlock

Art Unlock:

  • Does not use behavioral advertising
  • Does not share data with advertisers
  • Does not use third-party ad networks
  • Does not engage in data monetization practices
  • Does not transfer data to external parties except approved service providers necessary for platform operation (e.g., Stripe, hosting providers)

Therefore, Art Unlock does not engage in activity considered a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA/CPRA.

3. Your Rights Under CCPA & CPRA

California residents have the right to:

3.1 Opt-Out Right

You may request that Art Unlock stop selling or sharing your personal information.

Although Art Unlock does not engage in such practices, we still honor your right to submit a request.

3.2 Right to Know

You may request information regarding:

  • Categories of data we collect
  • Sources of data
  • Purpose of data processing
  • Third parties with whom data is shared
  • Specific pieces of information we have collected about you

3.3 Right to Delete

You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal limitations.

5. Verification Process

For your protection, Art Unlock must verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

We may require:

  • Your name
  • Email address associated with your account
  • Proof of residency (only for California residents, if necessary)
  • Additional verification questions

We will never request sensitive documents such as government IDs unless legally required.

6. Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. Agents must provide:

  • Written and signed authorization from the Consumer
  • Proof of their identity
  • Proof of the Consumer’s identity

7. Non-Discrimination Policy

Art Unlock will not discriminate against any user for exercising their privacy rights under CCPA/CPRA. This includes:

  • Denying access to services
  • Charging different prices
  • Providing different quality of service
  • Retaliatory actions of any kind

8. Categories of Data NOT Sold or Shared

Art Unlock does not sell or share:

  • Identifiers (name, email, IP address)
  • Professional or artistic information
  • User-uploaded content
  • Studio information or location
  • Analytics data
  • Browsing or device data
  • Geolocation
  • Payment data (processed only by third-party processors)

All processing is strictly functional and necessary for platform operation.

9. Third-Party Processors

The following types of service providers may process data on behalf of Art Unlock:

  • Hosting and cloud providers
  • Security and fraud prevention tools
  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal)
  • Email delivery and customer support tools
  • Analytics platforms

These providers are not permitted to sell, share, or use personal information for their own purposes.
