Event Safety Disclaimer

1. General Disclaimer

Art Unlock Inc. (“Art Unlock”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates exclusively as a digital platform that facilitates connections between artists, institutions, venues, organizers, and the public.

Art Unlock does not:

  • Manage or supervise any physical studios, galleries, workshops, or event spaces
  • Inspect or verify the safety conditions of venues or locations
  • Oversee onsite logistics, staffing, crowd control, or accessibility
  • Assume responsibility for event organization, equipment, or structural integrity
  • Guarantee the accuracy of event details, schedules, or descriptions

All events listed on the Platform—whether open studios, exhibitions, performances, talks, or workshops—are independently organized and executed by third parties.

2. Artist, Host, and Organizer Responsibility

Artists, curators, hosts, and event organizers (“Organizers”) are solely responsible for ensuring that all events listed on the Platform comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations. This includes, but is not limited to:

2.1 Legal Compliance

  • Building codes and fire safety
  • Occupancy limits and crowd management
  • Zoning and local ordinances
  • Accessibility requirements
  • Public health mandates (e.g., sanitation protocols, capacity restrictions)

2.2 Permits & Authorizations

Organizers are responsible for securing all applicable:

  • Permits and licenses
  • Insurance coverage (general liability, event insurance, etc.)
  • Venue contracts and approvals
  • Security arrangements

Art Unlock does not verify, monitor, or confirm the validity of these documents.

2.3 Accurate Visitor Information

Organizers must provide and maintain:

  • Updated event details
  • Correct addresses and access instructions
  • Safety warnings (stairs, pets, wet floors, restricted areas, etc.)
  • Schedule changes or cancellations

The accuracy of all event-related information is the sole responsibility of the organizer.

3. Visitor Responsibility

Risk Acknowledgment

Visitors and attendees (“Visitors”) participate in events listed on the Platform at their own risk. By attending an event, Visitors acknowledge and agree that:

  • Physical environments vary and may include hazards (e.g., uneven surfaces, tools, chemicals, installations, low lighting, animals, crowds)
  • Studios and private venues may not offer the same safety conditions as public institutions
  • Visitors must exercise caution, follow posted guidelines, and comply with any instructions provided by the event host

Art Unlock shall not be liable for:

  • Personal injuries
  • Illness
  • Accidents or falls
  • Damaged or stolen property
  • Losses resulting from event conditions or organizer negligence

Art Unlock is not responsible for disputes, claims, or incidents occurring at events, during travel to or from events, or arising from Visitor–Organizer interactions.

4. Event Modifications & Cancellations

Event details—including dates, times, locations, and access requirements—may change at any time at the sole discretion of the Organizer.

Art Unlock does not guarantee:

  • Event availability
  • Host participation
  • Schedule accuracy
  • Access to any specific venue

Art Unlock is not responsible for financial or logistical losses related to rescheduling, cancellation, or inaccessibility.

5. Force Majeure

Art Unlock shall not be held liable for event cancellations, delays, modifications, or damages arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather, natural disasters, or environmental hazards
  • Fire, flood, or utility failures
  • Public health restrictions, pandemics, or quarantines
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Civil unrest, protests, strikes, or acts of terrorism
  • Government actions or emergency regulations
  • Technical outages or communication failures

Force majeure events release Art Unlock from all obligations related to event listings and visitor expectations.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Art Unlock disclaims all responsibility for injuries, damages, losses, or expenses arising from event attendance
  • No warranties—express or implied—are provided regarding event conditions, organizer reliability, or visitor safety
  • Art Unlock’s maximum liability for any claim is $0, unless otherwise required by law

Visitors and Organizers agree that Art Unlock is not a party to event contracts, agreements, or interactions.
