Art Unlock is a global platform that connects artists, studios, and audiences through a unified ecosystem:
- A year-round international directory
- A scheduling tool for coordinating studio visits
- A synchronized global Open Studios Festival every August
It is the first platform designed to make studios visible on a global scale, whether physical, digital, or hybrid. Art Unlock is not a marketplace, not a social network, and not a curated competition. It is cultural infrastructure.
Inaugural Edition — August 2026
For the first time, artists worldwide will open their studios under a unified global calendar. Art Unlock turns a dispersed and local tradition into a coordinated, global-scale event.
This establishes the foundation: A global directory of physical and digital studios, equal institutional visibility, and a festival centered on the artist.
Directory + Festival: A Hybrid Model
1. The Directory (Year-Round): Active 365 days a year. Artists list studios, publish images, and become discoverable. Visitors search by city, medium, or theme.
2. The Festival (August): Once a year, the directory activates. Thousands of studios open simultaneously. The world becomes walkable.
Free Participation — How It Works
Art Unlock operates under a principle of openness: Every artist in the world can join for free.
Free Plan — Physical Studios: Register a physical studio at no cost. Appear in the official directory. Included in the inaugural edition. Eligible to participate in the August 2026 Festival.

Virtual Studios — Requires a Basic Paid Plan
Virtual studios receive the same visibility as physical studios in the directory, but they require a paid plan for one simple reason:
Digital studios depend on features that fall under enhanced membership tools (external links, uploading additional media, 3D environments). These belong to paid tiers because they require robust profile structures and higher data allocation.
Free participation is guaranteed. Paid plans simply unlock professional tools and visibility features like more images, biography, external links (website + social), and event credits.

Art Unlock includes a dedicated Events Calendar that operates independently from artist profiles. This feature gives artists, institutions, and creative services a separate space to promote activities (Exhibitions, Workshops, Talks).
How It Works: Every membership plan includes a monthly number of event credits. Events do not appear on studio profiles; they are displayed in a standalone, platform-wide calendar.
